BRIAN O’SULLIVAN (AM)

EXECUTIVE CHAIRMAN

Brian O’Sullivan is the founder and former Managing Director of OSD. He has over 30 years experience in business management, project management and engineering. He is a specialist in the business of energy related developments with a strong emphasis on oil and gas pipeline and facilities projects.

Brian has direct design and construction experience with major pipelines and petrochemical facilities in Australia, PNG and South East Asia. Brian’s key strengths include a strong technical knowledge and an in-depth understanding of commercial business activities. Brian has been a company director holding board positions for a range of entities. He is a former Chairman of the Australian Muscular Dystrophy Foundation, and still maintains an active role within this foundation. Brian held senior management positions with CMPS&F Oil and Gas, RJ Brown offshore pipeline engineers and has owned and operated a contracting business as well as owned a secondary processing business.

LINTON BURNS

MANAGING DIRECTOR

Linton has over 25 years commercial, financial business and management experience including leading corporate transactions such as mergers and acquisitions and IPO’s.

Prior to being appointed Managing Director of OSD Linton was CFO and CEO of OSD Midstream, the project finance and BOO/T arm of the business. Before joining OSD Linton held various roles including CFO and COO of two ASX and Nasdaq listed companies. Linton has a Bachelor of Accountancy and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia.

KEITH HORSTMANN

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR – WESTERN AUSTRALIA

Keith has been working in the resources development sector for more than 35 years with extensive experience in mining, and oil and gas projects. Since 1994 he has been predominantly involved in the pipeline industry in various roles from Project Management through to Business Management.

Keith joined OSD in 2005 to establish its Perth office and subsequently held a number of senior executive positions with both national and international responsibility. Keith joined the OSD Board of Directors in 2010 and presently has executive and general management responsibility for the Western Region operations of OSD. Keith has a degree in Civil Engineering, a Diploma of Project Management, is a member of Engineers Australia and the Australian Institute of Company Directors, and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management.

ROD KELLER

NON EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Rod Keller brings over 40 years experience in the engineering sector and until recently was the non-executive Chairman of Norfolk Group Limited (ASX: NFK), a non-executive director of Dyno Nobel (ASX: DNX) and Macquarie Communications Infrastructure Group Limited (ASX: MCG). He was Chairman of the GasNet Australia Group from its listing in 2000 until its takeover in 2006.

Rod has previously held management positions with Fletcher Construction Australia, the State Government of South Australia, Esso Australia, Woodside Petroleum and Santos and was Managing Director of GPU International Australia from 1995 to 1999, during which time the company acquired GPU GasNet and GPU PowerNet as part of the State Government of Victoria’s energy utility privatisation process. Rod has a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) from the University of Sydney and is a Fellow of the Institute of Engineers, Australia.

 

GREG BARTLEY

NON EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Greg became part of the OSD team after a merger with his own engineering consultancy GWB Engineering in February 2011. Greg first formed GWB Engineering in 1992, and since then has provided design and project engineering services in the Oil, Gas and Chemical Industries.

Graduating from the University of Queensland in 1976 with a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering honours degree, Greg brings with him over 30 years experience in the engineering field, working for companies such as BP and Caltex Oil Refineries, Fluor Australia, MAMIC Engineering (now AECOM). Greg has considerable experience in the design of pressure piping, pressure vessels and tanks. He is also experienced in ISO9001 quality systems.

ROBBERT DE WEIJER

NON EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Robbert brings to the OSD Board over 30 years’ oil and gas upstream experience and a strong Australian and global industry network.

Throughout a 23 year international career with Shell, Robbert held numerous senior leadership roles across Europe, the Middle East and Asia, culminating in managing Shell’s North Sea assets including 53 offshore gas platforms and two major gas terminals in The Netherlands and England, 1500 Shell and contractor staff, and capital and operating budgets in excess of US$1.6 billion per annum.

Arriving in Australia in 2009, Robbert was seconded from Shell into the position of Chief Operating Officer at Arrow Energy, where he was instrumental in the company achieving major project milestones during a period of rapid expansion. Following Arrow’s acquisition by Shell and PetroChina in 2010, Robbert worked as Chief Executive Officer for Dart Energy (Australia) and later as CEO for Armour Energy.

In addition to his Director role at OSD, Robbert serves as an Executive Director for Graphene Manufacturing Australia (GMA), further demonstrating his commitment to innovation in engineering.

LAURIE PAXTON

GENERAL MANAGER – CORPORATE SERVICES

Laurie brings to OSD over 15 years of generalist People & Culture experience and over 10 years of that within consulting companies. Laurie’s strengths lie in her approach to employee engagement, her strong communication skills with a focus on assisting the business to grow. Laurie has a Bachelor’s Degree in Geography from Queen’s University in Belfast and a Masters in Industrial Relations and Human Resource Management from Sydney University.

NEIL GARDNER

GENERAL MANAGER – EAST

Leading our East engineering and projects team, Neil is responsible for overall delivery of project development and execution services. His role covers Australia (excluding WA), PNG and the Pacific Islands.

Through 13 years’ international upstream and downstream oil and gas experience, Neil has developed an expert understanding of the industry, from exploration and production through to supply and distribution, allowing him to understand the diverse requirements of individual asset owners and service providers.

Neil commenced his career at Royal Dutch Shell and worked in a range of business areas over his seven years in Australia, New Zealand and Europe. Senior commercial, operational and strategic management roles with Arrow Energy further honed his industry expertise before joining the OSD team in May 2017.

He has a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Computer Science, Software Engineering and Business Studies from the University of Birmingham, in addition to a Post Graduate Diploma in Energy Studies from Murdoch University.

SHANE HAMNETT

GENERAL MANAGER – NEW ZEALAND

Shane has overall responsibility for leading and growing OSD’s New Zealand business consisting of Asset Services and Engineering professionals providing whole of life services to the oil & gas industry.

Shane has a Civil Engineering qualification from Southern Alberta Institute of Technology and has more than fifteen years’ experience as an Oil and Gas professional, working in various aspects of construction, technical, operational, commercial and management roles throughout Western Canada and New Zealand. He joins OSD after working for TAG Oil as Production Facility Manager and VP Operations for a number of years.

Previous to this Shane worked for AltaGas in Calgary, starting off in technical roles and later moving through to Manager of Operations and Business Development prior to leaving Canada moving to New Zealand.

JARROD WOOLNOUGH

ASSET SERVICES MANAGER

Jarrod is responsible for the overall management of the OSD Asset Services team across Australia. He leads a team of experienced pipeline technicians and is responsible for ensuring all pipeline operations and maintenance works undertaken by the Asset Services team is delivered safely whilst at the same time exceeding our clients’ expectations.

Jarrod has over 11 years’ project engineering and management experience working across the oil and gas, mining, and minerals processing industries. His expertise includes brownfield design and construction management, pipeline and process facilities design and operations, and turnaround project management. Jarrod builds strong relationships with his clients and his contract administration, stakeholder management, and quality management experience consolidate his versatile skill set and ability to deliver cost and operational benefits safely to our clients.

CRAIG SHEATHER

CHIEF TECHNICAL OFFICER

Craig is responsible for the technical capability, competency and integrity of what OSD produces across all OSD businesses. This responsibility includes ensuring the technical consistency of OSD’s engineering services, growing the capability of the OSD team, and ensuring compliance with OSD’s and our client’s procedures and specifications.

Craig has 25 years of experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer and Project Manager in the Engineering field, specialising in static pressure equipment and pressure piping. Craig joined GWB Engineering in 2001 which became part of OSD in 2011.

Previously Craig has worked in an engineering capacity at Mackay Sugar Co-operative Association, Schultz, Tait, Greig & Associates, and Bradken prior to joining GWB Engineering in 2001. Craig has a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering at QLD University of Technology, an Advanced Diploma in Management, is a Chartered Professional Engineer and is a Registered Professional Engineer in Queensland.
